Fingertip 3.3
Release highlights

Fingertip 3.3 is the latest in leadership technology, arriving shortly in your Teams tenant. Make sure to ask your Teams admin to install the latest version using our customer portal to get your hands on the latest features.
This update delivers many of the Planner features that we know many have been asking for. There’s a new Planner tasks tab in the main app, and you can create Planner tasks in buckets inside a collection.
We have also implemented room reservations from Outlook, so you can also book the right office space for your meeting when creating it with Fingertip.
Additionally, we are now beta-testing a calendar view of a full year, so you can easily view the collaboration hot spots around the annual plan.
We’ve also fixed dozens of bugs, improving the stability of the app. Some missing translations were added as well.
And to top it off, we were able to improve loading speed in the app in general, and especially in the My Fingertip view, helping people get to their personal open activities faster.

The Planner tasks -tab gives users a centralized view of their tasks. The user can also create new tasks and mark them complete directly within Fingertip.
This visibility helps users streamline their workflows and priorities, leading to increased productivity.
What you can do in the Planner tasks -tab:
- Create Planner tasks
- Create new To Do tasks
- Open tasks for editing
- Convert To Do tasks to Planner tasks
- Browse Planner plans and view their details
- Edit & move tasks inside Planner plans
- Create and view posts of Planner plans and tasks

The revisions streamline the core functionality, allowing users to more efficiently complete their tasks.
These improvements boost productivity and satisfaction for end users interacting with this feature.

- Quick-complete to activators in the People tab.

The updated Planner offers a more user-friendly experience with improved navigation, consolidated task visibility, and expanded task management capabilities. Users can now easily access and organize their Planner plans through navigation feature similar to folders. This feature is available in plans and collections.

The room reservation feature allows users to book meeting rooms or spaces directly through the Outlook calendar when scheduling meetings.
This functionality simplifies the process of organizing meetings by enabling users to check room availability, select a suitable space, and reserve it seamlessly within Fingertip.
By integrating room reservation capabilities into Fingertip, users can efficiently manage their meetings and ensure that appropriate spaces are allocated for their scheduled events.

The new yearly calendar view in the collections feature provides users with a comprehensive overview of their activities throughout the entire year.
This consolidated view allows users to easily identify patterns, plan ahead, and stay on top of their team’s tasks and deadlines.
By centralizing this information in a calendar format, users can improve their productivity and ensure they don’t miss important collection activities across the span of a full year.
The new yearly calendar view in the collections feature provides users with a comprehensive overview of their activities throughout the entire year.
This consolidated view allows users to easily identify patterns, plan ahead, and stay on top of their team’s tasks and deadlines.

Other new features
Link Teams discussions
Fingertip now allows users to link existing Teams discussions to activators, helping you connect every message related to an item in one place.
By using this feature, users do not need to create a new post to open the discussion about an activator but can continue where the collaboration started. It also helps to build the audit trail and background for the activator.
To use this feature, copy the link to the Teams channel post that you wish to link to the activator by clicking “…” and selecting “Copy link”.
Paste a link of Teams channel post in the text field, click “Create” and ta-da! You can now see the entire discussion inside the selected activator.
Activator module selector
Fingertip’s new admin feature allows the Fingertip admin to enable and disable specific activators and features. This is only available for the Fingertip admins in the separate “Fingertip Admin” app.
This feature is useful especially useful for users who do not want to be blinded by the amount of leadership features that Fingertip offers.
Whether you use another tool for specific functions or want to simplify and clarify Fingertip use, selecting the activators visible to users is as easy as clicking a button.
Home page changes
Home page is the command center that collects data from around the organization in one view for better situational awareness.
It collects personal activators, schedule and bookmarks to frequent items in one view.
We have enhanced the home page with a new layout template and more useful features.
- View selector to browse the content tailored for you or the entire organization
- Bookmarks – Pin your most used activators
- Improved filters to view the content from another user’s viewpoint
- Schedule view to browse today’s upcoming meetings and deadlines
- Recent posts to view the latest discussion
- Improved performance and load time
- Responsiveness and UI improvements
These changes aim to help the user to plan and take action in their daily work!
Enhanced user experience
There has been several minor user experience improvements to reduce the number of clicks and time needed to perform actions in Fingertip.
The most notable changes are:
- Automatic input focus for typing
- Improved load times in screens
- Improved hover effects for clickable buttons
- More consistent UI in dropdowns and fonts
- More responsive lists and activator views
- Improved translations
